Dehydration occurs when your body has lost an excessive amount of water. When bundled up in heavy clothing during the winter months, you may not realize that body moisture is being lost. Heavy clothing can absorb the moisture that evaporates in the air. So don't forget when you or your kids go out in the winter weather to take frequent breaks. Go inside, rest, and replenish your body fluid by drinking lots of water. Your body still needs it, whether it is warm or cold outside.
