Granville Health System’s Rehabilitation Department now offers on-site ergonomic assessments and interventions specifically tailored to assist workers who are already injured to prevent work-related injuries.  Evaluation goals are set to obtain the highest productivity from each worker, while maintaining his or her physical well-being and mental health.

The on-site ergonomic assessment has two stages. First, environmental considerations are studied by a trained therapist visiting the work site. The components of this stage include job analysis, work station mechanics, and hazard identification.

After the environmental study, the therapist issues a report on job/worker compatibility. The report will include recommendations and on-site instruction in the following areas:

  • Repetitive strain reduction
  • Physical and emotional fatigue prevention
  • Workstation design improvement
  • Body mechanics instruction
  • Tool modification
  • Pacing skills training
  • Stretching exercise training
  • Posture correction
  • Splint/adaptive aid

Behavioral Health Services (BHS):

Intensive Outpatient Treatment:
The Structured Outpatient Program is a medically supervised program tailored to meet the individual needs of adult patients requiring intense psychiatric support, but who do not need the acute treatment of an inpatient psychiatric facility.  It is a less costly, less restrictive and more flexible alternative to full hospitalization, but offers a more structured and intense treatment program than periodic outpatient therapy.  The Program provides psychiatric treatment to patients who are able to remain in the community but require support ranging from 2-5 days per week and stabilization.  It also serves as an important transitional resource between discharge from inpatient care and reintegration to full community life.
The program operates two (2) hours/day, M-F, with transportation provided to and from group and serves individuals age 18 and older.  Most insurances, including Medicare, are accepted.
The Structured Outpatient Program focuses on enhancing the patient's skills and resources to foster independence, self-confidence and self-reliance.  The multi-disciplinary treatment program focuses on the individual patient to determine an individualized treatment and discharge plan.  The plan includes recommendations for aftercare, follow up and community resource integration.

Traditional Outpatient Treatment:
BHS also offers outpatient psychotherapy on a weekly, bimonthly, or monthly basis as needed, by highly qualified mental health professionals.
Psychiatric medication management, by a board certified psychiatrist, is also offered in conjunction with the psychotherapy for any medication needs.  Multiple issues, conditions, or problems can be addressed such as depression, anxiety, relationship problems, divorce, grief/loss, etc..  Most major insurance plans are accepted including Medicare and Medicaid.

** No Physician Referral is needed **  ** Please Call for an Assessment of Any BHS Service **
