GHS Opens Granville Gastroenterology Associates and Welcomes Albin Abraham, MD
Granville Health System (GHS) recently announced the opening of Granville Gastroenterology Associates on the campus of Granville Medical Center. Dr. Abraham will lead the practice and is currently accepting new patients.
Dr. Abraham is a graduate of Father Muller’s Institute of Medical Education and Research in Mangalore, India. His post-graduate fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Internal Medicine residency were performed at Nassau University in New York, where he served as the Chief Resident.
Dr. Abraham comes from Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he offered gastroenterology care. Previously, he served as Associate Professor of Medicine at State University of New York, Stony Brook.
Among his specialties, Dr. Abraham can provide services and treatment in:
- acute and chronic abdominal pain
- colon cancer screening
- esophageal diseases, including reflux, eosinophilic esophagitis
- nausea and vomiting
- bloating and diarrhea
- obesity and nutrition management
- pancreatic disorders
- inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis

The opening of Granville Gastroenterology Associates is part of a continued overarching expansion of physician services occurring throughout Granville Health System. Over the past 24 months GHS has welcomed new providers in pediatrics, family medicine, hospitalist, and surgical services.
