GHS Honors Retiree Phyllis Jones

The room was filled with family and the many friends Phyllis Jones has made during her 20-year career at Granville Health System. All wished her well at her retirement party as she remembered all the fun she has had over the years.

Jones began her employment in the Fiscal Services department as a Data Processing Clerk on April 2, 1990, when the health system was still called Granville Hospital. Two years later, she transferred to the Human Resources Department, to work as a Personnel Assistant. The end of 1993 brought a third and final move, to Brantwood Nursing & Rehab Center as Patient Accounts Coordinator, where Ms. Jones remained until her retirement.
“Brantwood has been extremely fortunate to have Phyllis Jones as an employee,” said Carolyn Hill, Senior Director of Support Services. “This is a sad moment for us all because Phyllis has been such a pivotal part of Granville Health System and Brantwood over the past 20 years. Through thick and thin, we always knew we could count on her to get the job done.”

Hill summed up everyone’s feelings when she said, “I'm glad to see she's able to retire, but I hate to see her leave."
Jones has said that her retirement plans include spending more time with her family and travelling.
